Sweet Rachel enjoyed telling Allie, and all of us, "Happy Day!"
Allie was very excited to open presents. What kid isn't, right? But something I love about her, is that she even gets excited about cards. She had received several cards in the mail, so she opened those first. And then when opening gifts that came with cards, she still took the time to look at the card instead of just tossing it aside.
Grandma Terri made some super cute aprons for the girls. Allie's is a bunny, and Rachel's is a kitty. It was an early present for Rachel, and she enjoyed getting to open something, too.
Grandma and Grandpa Bobbie got Allie some Barbies. She had played with some friends' Barbies before and really enjoyed it., but she did not have any of her own before these. Allie was so happy to get them.
We were somewhat limited when picking a weekend for Allie's birthday party. But we knew we wanted to have one for her. Having been to her cousin's and some friends' parties, she expected one. The morning after our family celebration, Allie told me sadly, "Mom, no one came to my birthday." So I assured her that she'd have a party with friends.
We planned on having it at a park and invited several friends. Most said they'd be there, but then ended up not making. We were so incredibly grateful to my sister for driving 3.5 hours just for Allie's party, especially since they just had to turn around and head back after the party was over. We were also grateful for Allie's friend, Aiden, for coming. When everyone stared texting saying they weren't going to make it, we were afraid that Allie would once again be sad about no on coming. But with her cousins and Aiden there, she had a lot of fun. She told us that night that she had a lot of fun at her party.

Rachel got some pretty awesome glasses.
Breya was excited about the hair clips.
Allie, again excited about a card.
Aiden brought Allie some princess shoes for dress-up. Allie seemed happy with them at the park, but was even more excited about them at home. Her and Rachel put them on and started dancing.
