Two of our favorite things about living at the Links are the playground and the pool. We don't have too many pictures from the pool because we forget to take the camera and we all usually get in the water. But when my bug bites from our trip to Springfield were still pretty nasty, I felt it would be best if I didn't go swimming. So I was able to snap a few on that trip. And I love taking pictures at playgrounds because the lighting is usually good and it is pretty easy to get real smiles, but I forget to take the camera with me. But thanks to my cell phone, I was able to get the cute one below.
Allie is so independent in the pool. She wears arm floaties, but she will jump in from the side and isn't even afraid of going under the water for a second. She has really become fearless. I think we'll get her into swimming lessons next summer. She is really good at kicking (and using her arms a little) to get across the pool. The Olympics were motivational for her. She started putting her toes on the edge and then bending down and jumping in "just like on TV." And she "can swim so fast," like the swimmers on TV, too.
