For awhile, we were taking notes on things that we wanted to remember to put on the blog. It's a good thing we did, because I wouldn't have remembered exactly when things happened. Most of the things we noted happened in March.
First though, a few cute pictures from after bath time. I love pictures of babies after their baths. I don't know why, except for they are so cute with their towels on their heads and they are almost always really happy.
Rachel started climbing. She continues to be a climber.

She discovered the joy of pulling everything out of cupboards and climbing in.

And sitting in the pots and pans.

Rachel started clapping in March around 8.5 months. She mastered walking, too. She took 11 steps on March 17th and 23 steps on March 23rd. We didn't think it would happen, but she was officially walking even earlier than Allie had. (Allie was walking at 9 months and Rachel at 8.5 months.) She first stood up by herself, without holding onto anything, on her 8-month birthday, and then was doing it regularly by the end of March. She also started giving cheesy smiles (as can be seen in the picture above). And something that hasn't changed is that Rachel loves eating! It is wonderful.
We have a few videos of some of Rachel's really early steps, but we didn't seem to capture her first real successful walking.
Rachel doesn't like keeping bibs on. In the video below, she was wearing overalls that made her think she was wearing a bib. She kept trying to pull it off like she did with her bib. She doesn't try as long in this video as she had been, but it is still pretty cute. You can see, or hear, some of Rachel and Allie making sounds at each other and laughing together. I love it when they have fun together.
