Easter 2012

We had fun celebrating Easter this year. There was a church breakfast and egg hunt the day before. Allie really enjoyed the egg hunt.

The grass was wet, so Rachel didn't walk around much.

The whole day was fun, and the kiddos had a fair amount of sugar in them by the evening.

The Easter Bunny came during the night. Allie was a little disappointed that she didn't get to see him, but she loved what was left for her. This year, the Easter Bunny left a silly gift for Allie - a whoopie cushion. Both her and Rachel loved it and still laugh really hard when playing with it.

After enjoying their gifts from the Easter Bunny, we got ready for church. Grandma Bobbie got some beautiful Easter dresses for the girls. Thank you! We still get compliments on how cute the girls are in their beautiful dresses whenever they wear them.

Since we don't have grass at our apartment, we took advantage of the grass at church to take a few pictures.

We could not get them to look at the camera at the same time. At least they're looking the same direction in this one.

We had another Easter egg hunt after the girls' afternoon nap. Our apartment was pretty messy, but it made for lots of places to hide eggs. We put fruit loops, cheerios, and goldfish crackers in large eggs for Rachel. We didn't want her to be able to choke on the smaller eggs. Allie's eggs were smaller, and some had healthier snacks and some had candy.

The Easter Bunny brought a chocolate bunny sucker (or head on a stick). Allie was so excited for her sucker. She insisted on licking it for three or four days. She didn't get very far on it. We kept trying to convince her to take a bite, but it wasn't until day four or five that she did. Once she took a bite, it was gone in five minutes or less. She loved it and was a complete mess.
