Miriam Comes Home

It's always exciting to bring baby home. We were ready to go for quite some time before we were actually able to leave. The pediatrician took his time. Across the hall from our room, there was a husband and wife who had their first baby. They were checking out at the same time as us. We had to chuckle when comparing the amount of stuff that they had (multiple bags, flowers, balloons, etc) versus what we had (a backpack, other small bag, car seat, and I think that is it). 

Allie and Rachel helped pick out Miriam's outfit for coming home. It had little kitties on it. It was pretty big on her, but she was as cute as could be.

When we got home, there were several people who were ready to hold our sweet baby girl.

Buddy really wasn't sure what to think of baby Miriam. But he knew he wanted to be close to her. He would always check on her. He slept right by the bassinet the first few nights.

Miriam got her first bath a few days after coming home. She was definitely not a big fan. I was grateful for my mom's help.

All of our babies have had strong necks from day one. Miriam was really alert, sitting (supported by Daddy, on Daddy's belly) and showing off how strong her neck is.

Miriam got to meet some of her cousins the weekend or two after being born. Maria came with her girls, which was absolutely wonderful.

Watching babies sleep is so incredible. And when you catch a smile, you can't help but be happy. It was no different with Miriam.

Everyone was worn out from the excitement and little sleep at night. We caught the sweetest picture of Grandpa Bobbie and Rachel snoozing on the couch.

Grandma Bobbie kept busy in the kitchen. She was always on top of meals and cleaning. I don't know what we'd do without her after the arrival of a new baby. Allie enjoyed helping Grandma Bobbie make apple crisp. We all enjoyed the apple crisp.
