Rachel's first time with peas.
She had already tried rice cereal and sweet potatoes before this.
First time Allie started feeding Rachel. I had answered the phone and turned my back to them. I knew it was going to be messy, but I had to capture the moment.
Here's a little video clip of Allie feeding Rachel.
Another day Allie let Rachel have the spoon. Rachel was very happy to get it.
I don't remember when we first tried puffs for her first finger food. I think it was pretty close to 7 months, perhaps a little after. Rachel was so excited to grab and put food in her mouth by herself. It is cute to see her excitement when she sees me grab the puffs container and then as I get them out for her. In the video below, there is a better reaction to her seeing me grab them toward the middle or end of the clip.
It has been nice having a baby who eats well. I was always stressed about whether Allie was getting enough. I knew she was getting the quantity that she wanted, but, because she was so skinny, I always wondered whether she was getting what she needed as far as nutrition goes. But since Allie turned out well, I now really don't stress about Rachel at all. She is chubby and eats a lot. We love it!
