Allie continues to bring us so much joy. She makes us laugh all the time. Of course there are times when she really tries our patience, too. But we still thank Heavenly Father daily for having blessed us with such a sweet little girl.
We had her 18-month doctor's visit at the end of December. She has continued with the same growth pattern: she was 33.24" tall (95th percentile) and weighed 22 lbs, 11 oz (50th percentile). So she is actually slightly more proportionate than before, though she is still tall and thin.
Below are some pictures that were taken between 16 and 18 months of age.

Sadly, Mommy thought the above dress was bigger than it was, so Allie only ended up wearing this one time. We tried putting it on her before, and she could get in it, but she really put up a fuss. It must have been too tight for comfort. Too bad.

The video below needs a little bit of explanation. Allie loves to follow us everywhere, including the bathroom. Sometimes it isn't a big deal, but sometimes a person wants a little bit of privacy. And as she gets older, we figure that she needs to learn that she doesn't need to be with us ALL the time. So one time when Daddy locked Allie out and she was distressed, a new game was discovered. As you can see, she got a kick out of it.
There is a wonderful couple in our ward at church with whom we will trade babysitting. They have a daughter named Lily who is 11 months older than Allie. They play so well together. It is really cute watching them. The following pictures were taken during one of our nights babysitting in either November or December.

Allie really loves watching videos. We don't get cable, so we don't have television. But we own a few Sesame Street and other kids videos. We try not to let her watch too much. Below is a picture of her zoning while standing and watching one of her videos.

The next picture doesn't really have anything to do with Allie, but we thought we would share it with you. The same couple that we trade babysitting with held a Pie Night the week before Thanksgiving. Four or five different couples all brought a different pie. There were some sweet and some savory. We found an Amish recipe for a Lemon Sponge Pie. It sounded delicious, and the book said it was a pity it isn't made as often, so we thought, "why not?" It turned out really pretty, and the texture was good, but the lemon was too strong. We would probably have to tweak the recipe in order to get it to our liking in the future.

Allie loves playing with all the pots and pans, Tupperware, and other kitchen items that are in our lower cabinets. We've placed our items with that in mind, so she can't get to any that will break. But recently (maybe December?) she discovered another way to enjoy the cupboards.
Next are just some videos of Allie having fun with her stuffed duck.
I like the pigtails!
