More Fun and News

We've had a few busy weeks since our last post. Jared took three tests in two days this last week. On top of that, he has been working a lot on one of his class projects in which they are designing a swing set that will generate power. It will be used in Ghana. Nikki has worked 5 1/2 days each week for the last two weeks. She is exhausted, but the paycheck should be nice.

Here's a computer model of how the swing will work. It is a glider swing so that more of the kids can play on it at once. It will also generate more power than a regular swing.

We would have posted something last week, but our Internet wasn't working. It gave Nikki another week to grow and also forget how much she "loved" taking the first picture of her tummy. Jared got to be part of the fun this week. He loved it. =) We'll take another of the two of us in the future so that we can document his growth, too.

26 weeks pregnant

Nikki has been a little more picky in regards to food since being pregnant. Before, she would eat just about anything as long as it didn't have mushrooms. Now, she needs to be in the mood for it. And hamburger has not been her favorite. But last Sunday, she decided that we could have lasagna. Jared cooked the meat and prepared the sauce; Nikki prepared the olives and cheese. Then when we went to cook the noodles, there were only two noodles left in the box. We laughed quite a bit and called some friends to see if we could borrow any noodles. They didn't have any, so we did the next best thing... We created a rainbow rotelle lasagna casserole sort of thing. It actually was really good. Here are some pictures of our lovely meal.
